This $16 million project is one of the fifth feeder school in Ascension parish, set to be completed by Spring 2024. Prairieville High School will be a 320,000 SF campus with enough classrooms to hold 2,000 students, a media center, two gymnasiums, a courtyard, and a two-story fieldhouse. Crumb Engineering is providing the HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical designing for the entire project.
A new 2-story, 40,000 SF building, equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms, full science labs, administration office space, and a central utilities plant. The Cafetorium is a 20,000 SF building with a cutting-edge theater system. It will also serve as the main cafeteria for the campus and is furnished with the latest food service equipment. Crumb Engineering provided the mechanical, plumbing, electrical, theatrical sound and theatrical lighting systems.
This FEMA funded building serves as an improved replacement of the existing school and includes cutting edge technology related to education. The $25.75 M project was built to be LEED Silver, consisting of classrooms, a library, cafeteria, choral and music rooms, and a gymnasium building. Both the gymnasium and music rooms have NC 25 HVAC systems, and the entire 100,000 SF facility has state of the art indoor air quality controls.
The new $15 million, 83,600 SF school was completed in August 2020. The Ascension Parish School Board wanted to create an educational environment that fosters interaction and learning through invigorating and functional spaces, while keeping in mind security and safety.
This new three-story classroom building nestled in Mandeville High School’s campus provides 38 classrooms (12 reduced number/special education classrooms, 26 regular classrooms and support spaces) that replaced 32 existing modular classrooms with a permanent building. The façade of this new building, while appearing random, is in fact a twist on the Fibonacci Sequence and will be used as a teaching tool in the classroom. In addition to the new classroom building, existing locker rooms were renovated and the addition of a new wrestling practice facility cradles the outdoor collaboration courtyard.
The Rodney R. Lafon Performing Arts Center is a new world-class facility dedicated to elevating the social and cultural life of the historic district through the visual and performing arts. At the heart of the new 69,000 SF project lies the 1304-seat Shell Theater, a dramatic proscenium space with state-of-the-art presentation capabilities. Included is a 200-seat black box theater, dance studio, ensemble rehearsal studios, television production suite, piano lab, digital and interactive media labs, and education wing.
