The Rodney R. Lafon Performing Arts Center is a new world-class facility dedicated to elevating the social and cultural life of the historic district through the visual and performing arts. At the heart of the new 69,000 SF project lies the 1304-seat Shell Theater, a dramatic proscenium space with state-of-the-art presentation capabilities. Included is a 200-seat black box theater, dance studio, ensemble rehearsal studios, television production suite, piano lab, digital and interactive media labs, and education wing.
We restored the 10,000 seated arena from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. The theatrical sound, lighting, scoreboard and main arena mechanical systems were repaired and replaced, along with the theatrical fly systems.
